EU finished steel exports up 4.29 percent in Jan-Feb

In the month of February this year, European Union (EU) flat steel exports totaled 1.214 million mt, up 6.21 percent, while EU long steel exports amounted to 854,000 mt, down 1.15 percent, both year on year, as announced by the European Steel Association (EUROFER). Accordingly, overall EU finished steel exports in February totaled 2.068 million mt, down three percent month on month and up 3.03 percent compared to the same month 2012.

In the first two months of the current year, EU finished steel exports rose by 4.29 percent year on year to 4.2 million mt.
