EU and Ukraine sign new quota agreement for 2007

The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy has announced that the European Union (EU) and Ukraine have signed a new quota agreement for the supply of Ukrainian-origin steel products to the EU in 2007.

Under the new agreement, the steel quota allocated by the EU for Ukrainian steel products in 2007 has been increased by 30 percent to 1.32 million metric tons.

The new quota agreement was signed during the EU-Ukraine Cooperation Council meeting, which was held in Luxembourg on June 18.
