ESTAR’s NMZK successfully passes TUV CERT audit

Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding (ESTAR) has announced that its subsidiary Novosibirsk Metallurgical Works named after Kuzmin (NMZK) has successfully passed the quality management system supervisory audit according to the ISO 9001:2000 standards of the German-based TUV CERT certification body.

In 2006, NMZK successful implemented the quality management system according to GOST R ISO 9001-2001 requirements, certified by the Russian (Novosibirsk Center of Standardization, Metrology and Certification) and international (TUV CERT) certification bodies. 

In its announcement, NMZK said that ISO 9001:2000 allows it to optimize its processes and interfaces, and to ensure demonstrable improvement of its competitive strength in an environment characterized by increasingly fierce competition.
