Essar Steel enters European market with plate shipments to Turkey

India-based steelmaker Essar Steel has announced that it has entered the European plate market with an order for 1,200 mt of quenched and tempered steel plates, making the first shipment of 600 mt to Turkey for building tipper bodies for heavy trucks.
 
Essar Steel stated that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Turkish buyer, for the supply of 20,000 mt of steel plates, which will be delivered by October this year.

Essar Steel's quenched and tempered steel plates are a popular abrasion-resistant grade, commonly used for a variety of products in the yellow goods and mining equipment category.
