Erdemir reiterates lack of interest in British Steel

Turkish integrated steelmaker Erdemir has denied a Sky News report on Friday, July 26, which alleged that the company plans to takeover British Steel. The company reiterated that it has no interest in British Steel.

On July 15, Erdemir made a similar statement denying national and international media reports about the company being interested in the UK-based steelmaker.

British Steel went into compulsory liquidation on May 22.
