Erdemir denies rumors of interest in British Steel

Turkish integrated steelmaker Erdemir has denied the rumors of interest in acquiring British Steel which went into compulsory liquidation on May 22.

“There have been allegations in international and national media outlets that Erdemir has made an offer to acquire British Steel. Erdemir would like to inform the public that these allegations are baseless and that we have no interest in the company in question,” Erdemir’s statement read.
