Erbil-based F&F STEEL casts first billets

Turkish plantmaker CVS Makine has announced that the meltshop with an annual production capacity of 500,000 mt it designed and supplied for Turkey-based Doga Group's F&F STEEL project in Erbil, northern Iraq cast its first billets last week. F&T STEEL's rebar mill, also supplied by CVS Makine, was commissioned a month ago.
 
F&F STEEL will produce 130 x 130 mm and 180 x 180 mm steel billets at its meltshop, while the rebar mill will produce plain round bar and rebar with diameters in a range of 8-32 mm.
