ENRC N.V. eyes assets in Russia

The Netherlands-based company ENRC N.V has petitioned the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to grant it permission to acquire a 95 percent voting share in Sevovsky Ferroalloy Plant, a 61.06 percent voting share in Saranovsk mine Rudnaya. In addition, the company appealed to FAS for permission to acquire a 51 percent voting share in Serovsky Plant of Metallokontsetrat.

Upon its review of the petitions, FAS decided to prolong the review of the ENRC N.V. request till 17 July 2007.

Sevovsky Ferroalloy Plant is one of Russia's largest chrome ferroalloy producers, while Saranovsk mine Rudnaya specializes in mining production of chrome ore.
