Russian electrode producer ENERGOPROM Group has announced that it has started production of UHP-610 grade graphite electrodes at its Novosibirsk Electrode Plant.
According to the company’s statement, the Novosibirsk Electrode Plant has already shipped 110 metric tons of graphite electrodes, grade UHP, diameter 610 mm, to Russia-based Nadezhdinski Metallurgical Plant - the first batch of needle coke-based graphite electrodes of the said grade manufactured at ENERGOPROM’s Novosibirsk plant since 2011.
Meanwhile, another 200 metric tons of products of the said grade are currently being prepared for shipment, with 1,000 metric tons expected to be shipped by the end of this year. During the current year, Novosibirsk Electrode Plant has continued its program for expansion of its product range, entrance to new sales markets, and for increase of its capacity utilization rate. In 2018, the company plans to increase the production of these products.
