Metinvest Holding subsidiary, the EMZ group of enterprises (which comprises Ukrainian steelmaker Enakievsk MZ and Ukrainian-Swiss company Metalen) in 2007 produced 2.449 million metric tons of pig iron - up 11.3 percent, and 2.788 million metric tons of crude steel - up 9.3 percent, compared to 2006.
During the same period, EMZ's dispatch of finished steel products rose 5.4 percent year on year to 2.779 million metric tons. This figure includes a 3.2 percent rise in billet shipments to 2.14 million metric tons and a 77 percent increase in long product shipments to 459,300 metric tons.
