Dunaferr orders new equipment from Siemens

Dunaferr, the Hungary-based subsidiary of the Ukrainian steelmaker Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has ordered a new reversing cold mill and a pickling line from Metal Technologies (MT) - a division of Siemens Group Industrial Solutions and Services.

The new continuous pickling line with an annual capacity of 1.6 million mt and the new reversing cold mill with an annual capacity of 536,000 mt constitute part of ISD's strategic development program for Dunaferr. The main aim of the program is to increase Dunaferr's production capacity and its product quality.

The new mill and line are scheduled to start production in the middle of 2008.
