Dongkuk to purchase slab from Chinese mill

South Korean steel producer Dongkuk Steel Mills (DSM) reportedly agreed to buy 1.25 million metric tons of steel slabs from Chinese steel producer Shougang Group over five years. The deal calls for DSM to purchase 250'000 metric tons of slabs per annum from the Chinese producer. Slabs are used to produce plates for construction and shipbuilding.
