Dongkuk Steel cuts plate prices
South Korean steelmaker Dongkuk Steel Mill Company reduced its steel plate prices by Won 50,000/mt ($49) due to the decrease in slab prices. Accordingly, plates for shipbuilding were dropped to Won 635,000/mt ($626) and those for other purposes to Won 665,000/mt ($656). The aggregate price cuts throughout the year amounted to Won 115,000 ($113) per plate for ships and Won 85,000 ($83) per plate for other uses.Dongkuk Steel cuts plate prices
