Dongbu Steel to invest in new HR steel plant

South Korean steelmaker Dongbu Steel has disclosed on Thursday that it is to invest Won 620 billion ($670.6 million) in a new hot rolled steel plant.

Dongbu plans to complete the construction of an EAF plant by May 2009 in the port city of Dangjin, southwest of Seoul, the company said.
