Dongbu aims to increase its sales to Won 3 trillion

South Korean steel producer Dongbu Steel is reportedly planning to increase its sales to Won 3 trillion ($2.8 billion) by 2006. Accordingly, the company will increase its production. The company officials stated that they expect to report sales of Won 2.62 trillion for 2004 and they plan to increase the sales to Won 2.64 trillion in 2005 and finally they aim to increase the sales to Won 3 trillion in 2006. The steel producer currently produces 2.7 million tons of steel per annum. In order to increase its annual production capacity to 2.8 million tons, the facility will be upgraded with an investment of Won 100 billion ($95.4 million).
