DOC initiates AD review for certain pipes from Taiwan

On July 1, 2003, in response to requests from US producers Allied Tube and Conduit Corporation, IPSCO Tubulars Inc. and Wheatland Tube Company, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the initiation of an administrative review of the antidumping duties on circular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes imported from Taiwan. The period of review was May 1, 2002, through April 30, 2003. On October 30, 2004, the DOC published the final results of the administrative review and assigned a cash deposit rate of 1.61% to Yieh Hsing for sales of subject merchandise in the US. On February 15, 2005, Yieh Phui requested that the DOC conduct an expedited changed circumstances review of the order on certain circular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes from Taiwan with respect to Yieh Phui. The company asked that the DOC find that Yieh Phui is the successor-in-interest to Yieh Hsing and therefore entitled to the same antidumping treatment as its predecessor with respect to subject merchandise.
