Irving, Texas-based Delta Steel Technologies, a steel machinery manufacturer, has been commissioned by steel service center and processor Triple-S Steel, based in Houston, Texas, to build the largest Temper Mill Cut-to-Length Line in the world. Delta primarily builds machinery for service centers and mills, with a focus on machinery for processing flat-rolled steel.

The new 1.0" x 120" wide line is significantly larger than most other similar lines which are usually ¾" x 96" wide, and is expected to be completed and operational in 2012.

The addition of the line will also provide Triple-S with a major leap into more flat-rolled production capabilities. Triple-S Steel primarily distributes long and structural products such as angles, beams, channels and bars, in addition to steel sheet and plate.
