Italian plantmaker Danieli has reached an agreement with Real Steel Corporation to supply it with a new high-speed rolling mill, which will be installed in Pampanga, province of San Simon, Philippines, the company said.

The new high-speed rolling mill will be able to produce deformed bars in the range of 10-32 mm diameter from square billets starting from 150 mm and weighing up to 2,000 kg. Danieli said that it will be the fastest bar mill in the Asian region.

With the installation of the new rolling mill, it is aimed to meet the demand for bars of various lengths in the Filipino market. It will also support the demand for billet, SteelOrbis understands.
