Dalian Commodity Exchange completes preparations for coal futures launch

Liu Xingqiang, general manager of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Chinese futures exchange based in Dalian, Liaoning Province, stated at the exchange's performance appraisal meeting held on December 27 that preparation work for the launch of trading of coal futures has been completed. However, Dalian Commodity Exchange has not yet specified a date for the start of coal futures trading at the exchange.

Mr. Liu stated that in 2011 Dalian Commodity Exchange will improve collaboration with its members in order to avoid risks and to ensure smooth operations. He added that in the coming year the exchange will improve services, optimize market regulation systems, and improve technology and management.
