Czech CPI up slightly in March

The Czech Statistical Office disclosed that the country's consumer price index (CPI) rose 1.5% year on year in March 2005. Analysts had been expecting a year-on-year increase of 1.7%. A decline in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages contributed to the slowest growth since December 2003. CPI fell 0.1% compared to February. Stagnant recreational costs played a contributing factor in the month-on-month decline.
