CVS Makina, the Kocaeli-based Turkish part and equipment manufacturer for steel mills, has announced that it has completed the design, manufacturing and installation of a 70-mt electric arc furnace (EAF) and a dust collecting system supplied to Montenegro-based Zeljezara Niksic A.D. and has successfully commissioned them.
According to a statement made by CVS Makina to SteelOrbis, the installation of the equipment, which was completed in a short period of 2.5 months, has increased the annual high alloy steel production capacity of Zeljezara Niksic A.D. by 65 percent to approximately 500,000 mt.
CVS Makina said that harmonious cooperation among the personnel of the two enterprises, as well as the mechanical, electrical and metallurgical training provided by CVS for Zeljezara Niksic A.D.'s employees, resulted in an unproblematic and fruitful process.
