Brazil's CVRD has begun negotiations regarding the 2007 iron ore prices. CVRD started preliminary talks last week with its Chinese customers and is expected to begin talks this week with buyers from Japan and Europe. Analysts are expecting a five to 10 percent increase in iron ore prices for the 2007 contract year, down from the 19 percent increase last year.
