Companhia Siderurgica Nacional SA (CSN), Brazil's third-largest steelmaker, Tuesday announced that it might spin off its mining, steel, energy, logistics and cement businesses and create a holding company to control the units.

CSN will begin talks with banks in April, to determine a value for the mining spinoff, and it has been reported that the company will continue to seek steel assets in the US and Europe.
