Taiwan’s largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in October its carbon steel sales volume totaled 1,028,263 mt, rising by 6.4 percent from September, accounting for 70 percent of domestic sales. In the first ten months of the current year, its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 9,364,537 mt, accounting for 71 percent of domestic sales.
In October, CSC’s operating revenues amounted to NTD 36.43 billion ($1.18 billion), up by seven percent compared to September. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 3.79 billion ($123 million), increasing by eight percent from the previous month.
