CSC’s steel sales volume down 2.8 percent in November

Taiwan’s largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in November its carbon steel sales volume totaled 998,824 mt, decreasing by 2.8 percent from October, accounting for 69 percent of domestic sales. In the first 11 months of the current year, its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 10,363,361 mt, rising by 9.4 percent year on year, and accounting for 70 percent of domestic sales.

In November, CSC’s operating revenues amounted to NTD 34.53 billion ($1.1 billion), down by five percent compared to October. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 2.71 billion ($86.7 million), decreasing by 29 percent from the previous month.
