CSC’s steel sales up 9.7 percent in December from November

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in December last year its carbon steel sales volume increased by 9.7 percent to 887,215 metric tons compared to November, accounting for 74 percent of domestic sales. In the full year of 2017, the company's carbon steel sales volume amounted to 10.84 million mt, up 8.9 percent year on year, accounting for 69 percent of domestic sales.

In December, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 30.96 billion ($1.06 billion), rising by four percent month on month. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD 3.29 billion ($112.92 million), compared to an operating income of NTD 2.89 billion in the previous month.
