CSC’s steel sales down 8.78 percent in April from March

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in April this year its carbon steel sales volume decreased by 8.78 percent to 740,465 metric tons compared to March, accounting for 63 percent of domestic sales. During the first four months of the current year, the company's carbon steel sales volume amounted to 3.02 million mt, accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales.
 
In April, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 25.35 billion ($831.3 million), down by nine percent month on month. In the given month, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 1.77 billion ($58.04 million), increasing by 20 percent compared to the previous month.
