CSC may hike domestic prices in Q3

Taiwanese steel producer China Steel Corporation (CSC) is reportedly planning to increase its domestic prices in the third quarter. CSC officials stated that the company does not plan any price cuts despite the recent price trend in certain steel products in international market. Company officials stated that a price hike is necessary in order to reduce the price gap of 5% to 10% between international prices and CSC prices. The company will hold its quarterly meeting to discuss prices on May 26.
