ThyseenKrupp’s CSA plans to end this year with a production that may exceed 4 million mt of steel plates.

Last year, the company produced about 3.5 million mt of the product, according to media reports, which also indicate CSA would be making all the adjustments it needs in order to meet that planned capacity.

Nevertheless, Michael Höllermann, president of CSA in Brazil, said the global economy is not going well and the Brazilian steel market in particular has been a “headache” in 2014.
