CR and plate imports face higher duty threat in Indonesia

Indonesian mill PT Krakatau, requested local authorities raise import duty on HR coil from all countries from its existing 5% to 20%. Indonesian authorities decided to add cold rolled steel and heavy plates to the same probe last week. A request has been made that the current duty of 10% on CR products be increased to 25%, and on heavy plates from 5% to 20%.
