CPCA: China’s vehicle sales up 12% in early May from late April

Automotive vehicle sales in China in the first week of May declined by seven percent month on month, while rising by 12 percent compared to the last week of April, signaling the ongoing rebound of vehicle sales in China, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). In particular, average daily vehicle sales in the May 1-10 period amounted to 32,000 units.

As previously reported by SteelOrbis, automotive vehicle sales in China in the April 1-25 period declined by 1.6 percent year on year, showing significant improvement compared to the year-on-year decrease of 42 percent recorded in March. In particular, average daily vehicle sales in the April 1-25 period amounted to 35,300 units, signaling a steady improvement in vehicle sales.
