A Mexican federal court has ordered the ban on bank accounts belonging to an executive at Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) to be lifted, according to media reports.

Alonso Ancira, the president of AHMSA’s board, was detained in Spain earlier this year on corruption charges, and his bank accounts were frozen by Mexican authorities.

Recently, the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) said it was investigating Ancira over money laundering charges.
