Corus sells Finnish shares

Corus decided to sell its 23.2% share in Finnish stainless steel producer AvestaPolarit to Finland's major metal producer Outokumpu for €555million. Outokumpu already owned AvestaPolarit's 55.3% shares. Corus is aiming to focus on its core steelmaking operations and believes that the sales of the shares will allow them financial flexibility with this respect.
