A copper-molybdenum deposit with total reserves of over 50,000 mt has been discovered near the city of Chifeng in China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The mine is located in Baituying, near the town of Aohan, Chifeng, and was discovered by a mineral exploration team belonging to China Nuclear Engineering Group Co. and Aohan local government. Costing an investment of RMB 21 million ($3.26 million), the exploration project lasted from March to July of this year.
