Construction work officially begins on Masteel’s blast furnace No. 4

Construction work on the blast furnace No. 4 of Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Maanshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd (Masteel), which will be carried out by China First Metallurgical Group Co. - a subsidiary of Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC), officially commenced on March 1, as announced by MCC. The new blast furnace will have a capacity of 3,200 cubic meters.
