Color coated coil price maintains stable

SteelOrbis Shanghai This week, the market price of color coated coil did not change much. The market trading volume decreased a little while market inventories of color coated coil were still at low level. Some steel mills also released new ex-factory prices. On November 10, the average market price of 0.476 mm color coated coil was RMB 6,713/mt ($854), up RMB 20/mt ($3) compared with last week; that of 0.4 mm color coated coil was unchanged at RMB 7,143/mt ($909), while the average market price of 0.286 mm color coated coils imported from Taiwanese Yieh Phui was RMB 8,000/mt ($1,014), remained unchanged. This week, the market price of color coated coil did not change much. The market trading volume was down a little and the market inventories remained stable. Though the GI market prices continued decreasing slightly this week and the market trading volume went down further, the market supply of color coated coil was still at low level. Meanwhile, the supply of mills to the domestic market was also still very low. Thus, traders of color coated coil were not willing to reduce their sales price and so the market price maintained its stable trend. On the other hand, the ex-factory prices of color coated coil issued this week did not decrease, and this also gave strong support to the steadiness of the color coated coil market price. This week, the price of Angang color coated coil remained unchanged, while that of Wuxi NewDaZhong color coated coil increased RMB 150/mt ($19).
