In the first 11 months of 2019, Colombia exported 121,244 mt of ferronickel, up 1.8 percent, with a value of $463.79 million, decreasing by nine percent, both year on year, as announced by the Colombian National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE). In November last year, the country's ferronickel exports amounted to 2,384 mt, falling by 21.6 percent, while the revenue from these exports was $12.23 million, down 4.4 percent, both compared to November 2018.
In the January-November period of last year, Colombia's iron and steel export volume totaled 179,513 mt, down 16 percent, with a value of $594.69 million, falling by 12.3 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In November, Colombian iron and steel exports amounted to 9,289 mt, increasing by 30.6 percent, and were worth $24.66 million, up 25.2 percent, both compared to the same month of 2018.
