In the January-February period this year, Colombia exported 10,680 mt of ferronickel, down 39.7 percent, with a value of $40.62 million, decreasing by 36.1 percent, both year on year, as announced by the Colombian National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE).
In the given period, Colombia's iron and steel export volume totaled 25,064 mt, down 14.6 percent, with a value of $66.48 million, falling by 19.8 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In February, Colombian iron and steel exports amounted to 4,395 mt, increasing by 6.7 percent, and were worth $10.08 million, up 41.5 percent, both compared to the same month of 2019.
