Coking coal import traffic at Indian ports up 13.33 percent in Apr-Jan

Coking coal import traffic through all Indian ports in the April-January period of the fiscal year 2018-19 was recorded at 47.82 million mt, up 13.33 percent over the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, according to data issued by the Indian Ports Association (IPA).

However, during the same period, iron ore traffic, including pellets, through all major ports of the country was recorded at 33.05 million mt, down 12.30 percent from the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, according to IPA data.
