CISA: Chinese steelmakers’ steel sales volumes up 12.4% in Jan

According to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in January of the current year the steel sales of large and medium-sized steelmakers in China amounted to 42.4372 million mt, up by 4.6857 million mt or 12.41 percent year on year.
 
Additionally, at the end of January the steel inventories of large and medium-sized Chinese steelmakers totaled 10.8544 million mt, down by 2.4561 million mt or 18.45 percent on year-on-year basis, but up by 377,400 mt or 3.6 percent month on month.
