ChTPZ ships 100,000 mt of LD pipes to Kazakhstan

Russian pipe producing company ChTPZ Group has stated that in the January-June period of the current year it shipped more than 100,000 mt of large diameter (LD) X70 grade pipes with an outside diameter of 1,067 mm and with wall thickness of 15.9 mm to the Beyneu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline in Kazakhstan.

The project is significant for the economy and energy security of Kazakhstan. The pipeline will link 1.5 million residents of the southern regions of Kazakhstan to an initial supply of 6 billion cubic meters of gas per year by 2012. Completion of the second phase in 2015 will raise the pipeline's capacity to 10 billion cubic meters.
