Chinese steel producer Chongqing Steel Group has announced that in the first five months this year its sales revenue reached RMB 12.29 billion ($1.95 billion), while its output of shipbuilding plate totaled 832,000 mt, ranking first in terms of shipbuilding plate output volume in China in the given period.
In the first five months, the 4,100 mm wide plate production line of Chongqing Steel ranked first among similar rolling lines in China with regard to production volume per hour, i.e., 250 mt.
