Chongqing eliminates 2.8917 million mt of steel capacity in 2017

In 2017, the city of Chongqing in China eliminated 2.64 million mt of coal capacity and 2.8917 million mt of steelmaking capacity, as announced by Chongqing Economic and Information Commission.

Chongqing Economic and Information Commission indicated that an inspection team consisting of officials from the Ministry of Ecological Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the State Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the State Energy Administration reviewed and confirmed the capacities eliminated by Chongqing.
