Chinese shipbuilding firms’ output value declines in January-October

In the January-October period this year, the 94 medium-size and large shipbuilding enterprises in China realized an aggregate gross industrial output value of RMB 353.0 billion ($51.40 billion), down 2.9 percent year on year, according to the figures released by the China Association of the
National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI).

In the given period, the shipbuilding enterprises in question achieved aggregate exports totaling RMB 133.0 billion ($19.36 billion) in value, down 3.5 percent year on year.
                                                    
In the January-October period, the shipbuilding enterprises recorded an aggregate operating revenue of RMB 261.0 billion ($38.04 billion), down 6.2 percent, and a total gross profit of RMB 3.06 billion ($0.45 billion), decreasing by 13.2 percent, both year on year.
