Chinese excavator sales up 6.96 percent in April

In April this year, excavator sales of 25 Chinese excavator manufacturing enterprises included in the official statistics amounted to 28,410 units, rising by 6.96 percent year on year, according to the data issued by China Construction Machinery Association.

In particular, excavator sales for the domestic market increased by 5.31 percent year on year, while export sales rose by 34.19 percent year on year. Overall growth in Chinese excavator sales in April indicated a big slowdown compared to the growths of 10.0 percent, 65.0 percent and 15.7 percent recorded in January, February and March, respectively.

In the January-April period of the year, Chinese excavator sales amounted to 103,200 units, rising by 19.13 percent year on year.
