China’s steel scrap exports decline by 98.9 percent in Q1

In the January-March period of the current year, China exported 1,740 mt of steel scrap, down 98.9 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. 

Meanwhile, China imported 60,000 mt of scrap in the given period, down 86.6 percent year on year.
