China’s scrap exports decrease by 99.4 percent in January-May

In the January-May period of the current year, China exported 2,065 mt of steel scrap, down 99.4 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. 

Meanwhile, China imported 110,000 mt of scrap in the given period, down 85.7 percent year on year.
