China’s industrial output in steel industry shows slower growth in Sept

In September this year, China's overall value-added industrial output increased by 5.8 percent year on year, with the growth rate 1.4 percentage points faster compared to that recorded in August of this year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

However, in the given month, value-added industrial outputs in the ferrous metal smelting and rolling sector posted a 9.5 percent increase, 0.9 percentage points slower compared to August.

In September this year, of the 41 industrial sectors in China, 35 witnessed year-on-year increases in value-added industrial output. For example, outputs in the mining and manufacturing sectors grew by 8.1 percent and 5.6 percent, up 4.4 percentage points and 1.3 percentage points respectively from the growth rates recorded in August.

In the first nine months of the year, China's overall value-added industrial output increased by 5.6 percent year on year, the same increase rate recorded in the first eight months.
