China’s finished steel exports up 8.3 percent in January-April

In the January-April period this year, China exported 23.351 million mt of finished steel, up 8.3 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on May 8.

In the January-April period, China exported 2.585 million mt of metallurgical coke, decreasing by 13.8 percent year on year.

In April alone, China exported 6.326 million mt of finished steel, down 2.3 percent year on year, while it exported 582,000 mt of coke, declining by 28.4 percent year on year.
