China’s coke exports down 25.4 percent in Jan-Sept

In the January-September period of the year, China exported 5.164 million mt of metallurgical coke, down 25.4 percent year on year, with the declining pace remaining stable compared to that recorded in January-August.

In September alone, China exported 394,000 mt of metallurgical coke, down 10.66 percent month on month, while still down 25.7 percent year on year. Stricter production restrictions in September to ensure blue sky for National Day parade have resulted in less coke exports in the given month.
